OWL EYE® stockpile, conveyor and ore-bin volume measurement — installed, commissioned and serviced in Canada by Hyperflo, our partner across Quebec, Ontario and the Canadian mining belt. German engineering. Canadian boots-on-the-ground. Bilingual EN + FR support.
Hyperflo is Sachtleben Technology's partner for OWL EYE® across Canada. Headquartered at 100 Jacques-Bibeau St, Rouyn-Noranda, Québec — in the literal heart of Abitibi's gold- and copper-mining belt — with offices in Sudbury (Ontario) and Montréal (Québec). Their business-development mandate covers all of Canada plus Central USA.
Hyperflo is the #1 fan manufacturer in Canada (2024) and a specialist in mine ventilation: the CHK and VTX mine-ventilation fan ranges (19″–84″, up to 88 % efficiency, –7.1 dB noise reduction), plus the ventilation-control family HYPER-VU (monitoring), HYPER-STARTER (motor soft-starters) and HYPER-VFD (variable-frequency drives for fan motors) — field-proven at Vale and Eldorado Gold. Certified service center for all brands of pumps, motors and fans. They consolidated 60 years of underground-mining expertise into Hyperflo in 2020. Recipient of the 2024 CCIRN Manufacturer Award and 2025 SME Investment Award; doubled manufacturing capacity in 2025.
What this means for you: the same OWL EYE® hardware that runs at K+S potash mines in Germany, Nordzucker sugar receiving and 40+ other European industrial sites — installed by Canadian electromechanical technicians who already work in your mine, integrated into Hyperflo's existing ventilation-control stacks, and answered on the phone in your time zone in English or French.
Hyperflo · Modular Mine Ventilation, Pumping, Valves, Instrumentation & Automation · hyperflo.ca · "Go with the FLO."
Gold ore, copper concentrate, nickel, zinc, potash — surface-shape and zone-volume in real time. Field-proven at K+S potash; identical hardware ships to Saskatchewan, Sudbury and Abitibi.
Live volume in the primary crusher pocket. Trigger conveyor throttling before the bin overflows or starves. ±1 % to tonnes-per-hour without a belt scale.
Continuous level + 3D surface inside coarse-ore bins. No more "we think it's half full" — exact tonnage for shift handover and grinding-mill feed control.
OWL EYE® VOLUME FLOW: 2D-LiDAR scan across a moving belt, tonnes/hour at line rate. Calibrated against bench-tested density. Drop-in replacement for drifting belt scales.
Drive-through 3D capture of every haul-truck pass at the weighbridge — load shape, volume, off-centring. Pure LiDAR job; complements existing scales without replacing them.
1. Existing mine-ventilation stack. Hyperflo's core business is underground ventilation: their control family HYPER-VU (monitoring), HYPER-STARTER (motor soft-starters) and HYPER-VFD (variable-frequency drives) regulates fan motors at Vale, Eldorado Gold and other Canadian mines. Vibration, temperature, pressure, flow rate, stall, gas, current, energy, data logging, NEMA 12/4/3R/4X enclosures, Ethernet — already in place. OWL EYE® LiDAR is one more sensor in a stack they already build, integrate and service. You are not onboarding a new vendor — you are adding a SKU to a supplier you already use.
2. In-house engineering, not just resale. Hyperflo runs a full electromechanical test bench in Rouyn-Noranda: static and dynamic balancing, vibration analysis, sound analysis, formal final test reports. CWB-, EASA- and AMCA-credentialed. As a certified repair center they service all brands of pumps, motors and fans — i.e. real engineering rigor, not a drop-shipper.
3. Geographic + linguistic coverage that matches Canadian mining gravity. Rouyn-Noranda for the Abitibi gold belt (Agnico Eagle, IAMGOLD, Newmont Éléonore), Sudbury for the Basin (Vale, Glencore, KGHM Sudbury) and Northern Ontario gold (Timmins, Red Lake), Montréal for executive decisions and logistics. Bilingual EN + FR end-to-end — a hard requirement for Québec mining.
Hyperflo's stated mission: "Work as a team and be attentive to our partners in order to develop tailored solutions." Identical operating philosophy to Sachtleben — which is exactly why this partnership works.
We could ship hardware to Canada and service it remotely from Schleswig-Holstein. We don't, because that's a worse outcome for you.
Hyperflo reaches Quebec, Ontario and Northern Ontario sites within hours from Rouyn-Noranda, Sudbury or Montréal — and commits to a 48-working-hour response on every inquiry. Sachtleben from Germany would take 24-72 hours plus customs.
Hyperflo already designs HYPER-VU ventilation-control cabinets (proven at Vale and Eldorado Gold) that ingest vibration, pressure, flow-rate and data-logging signals over Ethernet. OWL EYE®'s OPC UA / REST / Modbus output drops directly into a stack their team builds every week — not a stack they need to learn.
Québec mining operators expect French-language technical service end-to-end. Hyperflo's team is fully bilingual — engineering, sales, field service and documentation. Sachtleben in Germany cannot match that.
CWB (welding), EASA (electrical apparatus), AMCA (air movement) credentials. Static + dynamic balancing, vibration and sound analysis, formal test reports. The same technicians who service your fans and motors will service your OWL EYE® — one accountable contractor, one safety paperwork chain.
