Privacy

No tracking without your consent.

We treat your visit the way we'd want our own to be treated.

What we collect

We use two analytics providers, both gated behind your explicit consent (the banner shown on first visit). If you decline, neither tracker is ever loaded and no data leaves your browser.

Plausible Analytics (cookie-free)

Plausible is a privacy-first European analytics service that does not set cookies and does not collect personal data. It records, in anonymous aggregated form: page URL, referrer, browser + OS family, country (derived from IP, IP discarded immediately), and screen-size category. No IP address, no unique identifier, no cross-site tracking. plausible.io/data-policy

Google Analytics 4 (cookies, anonymised IP)

Google Analytics 4 uses cookies (_ga, _ga_*) to count returning visitors and measure traffic sources. Per Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO it loads only after you click "Accept" on the consent banner. We configure it with IP anonymisation enabled, Google Signals disabled, and ad personalization disabled. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (data transferred to Google LLC, USA, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). policies.google.com/privacy

You can withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the stec-analytics-consent entry in your browser's localStorage — the banner will reappear on your next visit.

External services

  • Web fonts — Inter and IBM Plex Mono are served directly from our own server (no request to Google or any third-party CDN). No IP-address exposure.
  • Webcast videos — self-hosted on our own infrastructure (no third-party CDN). No tracking pixels, no analytics SDK in the video player.
  • YouTube embeds — used on /press/ and on product pages (e.g. the stockpile page) for our explainer and demo videos. Click-to-play in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com): the preview image is served from our own server, and the YouTube iframe loads ONLY after you click the play button. Until then, no request to YouTube/Google takes place, no cookies are set. Once the iframe loads, YouTube/Google may set cookies and process data such as your IP address. Provider: Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (data transferred to Google LLC, USA, under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework). Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO in conjunction with § 25(1) TDDDG (your consent by clicking play). You can withdraw this consent at any time by leaving or reloading the page — the video is only loaded again after another click; cookies already set by YouTube can be deleted in your browser settings — see policies.google.com/privacy.
  • LinkedIn share buttons — none currently.

Contact form + email

Our contact form is processed entirely on our own servers. When you submit, your form data (first/last name, company, email, phone, message) is transmitted over HTTPS to /api/contact, a Node endpoint running on our self-hosted infrastructure. The endpoint immediately relays the message via SMTP to info@sachtleben-technology.com and does not persist your data beyond the seconds required for that relay. No third-party form service is involved.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) DSGVO (your explicit consent via the privacy checkbox below the form) and Art. 6(1)(b) DSGVO (pre-contractual measures at your request). We process the email contents under standard business-correspondence terms — we keep it as long as necessary to fulfil your request, then delete it.

Webcast registration

When you register for a webcast (e.g. /webcast-inventory-to-control/) we process the data you provide — first name, last name, business email, company and optionally role, industry and phone — to grant you access to the recording, to send you a personal access link by email and to contact you regarding OWL EYE® products and our partnership offering with Axians IAS. For joint webcasts with Axians IAS we share the registration data as joint controllers (Art. 26 GDPR) with Axians IAS for the same purposes — Axians may contact you regarding their truck-yard management and bulk-handling-logistics products.

Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (your explicit consent via the checkbox below the registration form). Withdrawable at any time by reply to any email you receive from us, or via info@sachtleben-technology.com.

Storage: the access token (a server-signed HMAC) is valid for 90 days and is encoded into the magic-link URL in your confirmation email — it is not persisted on our servers. The registration data itself (name, email, company, consent timestamp) is retained for up to 24 months for follow-up, after which we delete it unless contractual correspondence requires longer retention. You may request earlier deletion at any time.

Sharing the magic-link: the link can be forwarded to colleagues and gives them access to the recording without re-registering. This is intentional — they remain anonymous to us (we only see the data of the original registrant).

Your rights

Under GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete and limit processing of any personal data we hold about you. Analytics data is only collected with your consent (see Google Analytics above) and is pseudonymised, so these rights mainly concern email correspondence and enquiries you sent us. Contact info@sachtleben-technology.com and we'll respond within one business day.
